Ben Nixon Studios provides custom wooden picture frames at the highest level of craftsmanship. Primarily catering to the job specific needs of artists, designers, collectors, galleries, and museums, we collaborate with each client to develop the best approach to each artwork or exhibition. Our focus is on fine art photography, works of paper, and paintings. We provide a wide range of wood varietals, framing profiles, and finishes. Our services range from framing individual artwork to entire collections.

Our Services

Custom Framing

We offer museum quality framing in both traditional and shadow box designs. Our shop can handle over-sized fine art framing projects.
Stretchers & Panels

Super strong poplar stretchers, offered in two different profiles. We also build custom panels for painters.
Art Installation

We provide professional art installation for both residential and commercial projects.
Mat Cutting

We offer 4ply and 8ply precision mat cutting. We cater to the individual piece of art to entire collections.
High Resolution Scanning

We offer high resolution flatbed scanning up to 8”x 10”. Film and transparency capabilities up to 4x5 film. Drum scanning is also offered.
Printing & Mounting

We work directly with master printer, Rocky Kenworthy of Dot Editions in Asheville to create a comprehensive art services business. Offering printing and mounting up to 60” wide, and fine art reproduction.
